Thank you very much for this prize and congratulations on all other selected works. It is great to see other cities now in this times when travel is not so convenient. What is the most exciting thing to do when walking around the city? For me, it is searching those details that make cities amazing. And from time to time it happens to be "simple" doors. Doors are our last barrier from the outer world, so we trust them well. I remember back in time we didn't even lock them, nowadays we are adding new locks and changing ordinary doors for more sturdy ones. What are we afraid of? From what are we closing our doors? Is the world different or are we locked outside from ourselves?

I like old doors a lot, and I even have a collection of old doors photographs. There are not many in my city, but I know almost each of them. They are unique art pieces, and I always tell my friends about them when we pass them. Those doors are living (almost) witnesses of history. Most of them are not really old and are 1930s doors, but some are older than 100-120 years, and those are the most captivating ones. I hope their owners will not remove or ruin them. Because if something like this happens, I would be devastated and lose faith in humanity.
