Traveling Iceland: The Lava - A visual story Part 1 (10 Photos)

in hive-185836 •  3 years ago

The active volcano is very special place to visit. Unfortunately it is already almost impossible to get very close to it due a lot of fresh lava all around and it is dangerous to walk over it (even if it looks very hard and stable)

Here is whole valley of very fresh lava formations changing all the landscape around

Enjoy!

¡Wow! Amazing photos

what incredible photos! I had never seen solidified lava so well

Wow. Which volcano is this? When I was in Iceland I saw smoke coming out of Eyjafjallajökull but there was no way getting closer to it for the time we had back then.

Fagradalsfjall which is active from March

Welcome back!
