A brighter scene | How I painted it out!

Hi there, how is everything going on...

Till now as you know that I have been making portraits with watercolour paints, all my attention goes with the character in the scene, I mean I haven't been giving much attention to the background scenes. In some paintings yes, but not in all. So from now onwards I will be giving equal importance to the background too.

Here I made the basic sketch with a black ball point pen on the canvas which qas of size A4. I made it by direct sketch without any grids or transparent paper.

I started painting the scene from the lighter region as I was using watercolours to fill the entire area. Leaving the brightest region unfilled, I was hoping that it would be easier to have highlights at the end.

Here it comes the finishing part, where I covered almost the areas and started using some strong contrasty colours to have good shadows behind some edges.
