What are Ornamental Flowers

Plants which are mainly planted (grown) for either beauty, colour, accent, specimen or aesthetic purpose are simply refers to as Ornamental Flowers.
These plants can be shrubs, herbs or even trees as the case may be. Features of ornamental flowers could be fruits, scent, stem, leaves etc..

Reasons why people plant ornamental flowers

People grow ornamental flowers not really for functional use but for display purpose instead. Other reasons why people grow ornamental flowers is for decorative purposes as well as landscape design projects which can be walk ways, parks, houses etc.

My fav flower is Daffodils (awwwn💐😊😍 can you smell that ). Daffodils is botanically known as Narcissus, This latin name was given after a mythological boy who always love to admiring the Flower's beauty. A one year (perennial) plant of amaryllis family(Amaryllidaceae), magnoliophyta division, plantae kingdom, liliopsida class and liliales order

Daffodils are easy and reliable spring-flowering bulbs. Yellow as can be seen is the most colour commonly described while talking about this particular flower. Nevertheless, Daffodils blossoms also come in pink, cream orange, even white, it's just too awesome 💛.

The central part can be in a shape of a long tube and it also has a long stem.
Daffodils are natively from Northern Europe and are likely grown in a temperate climate in other parts of the world.

A sunny spot that experiences not less than 6 hours of bright sun ⛅ in a day is where Daffodils plants ought to be planted, although it grows when planted in partial shades also but can only produce free leaves without Blooming👍.
Daffodils are prone to rotting when not planted in a well drained soil like most bulbs.

This particular type of flower is a flower of the month of March, not just that it is also represent 10th Wedding Anniversary.
The flower is no doubt so unique and everyone should be able to agree with me as I proceed .

If Bunch Of daffodils are being offered to someone as gift, it signifies Happiness and good fortune.
But if offered in Single it signifies Misfortune.

In the Chinese region, it's believed by tradition that on Chinese New year if daffodils flowers are being forced to bloom there will be good luck to all households.

In United States Of America, this flower is is tolerant of cold. Also for most novice gardeners in some regions it's an idea flower.

Daffodils has at least 13,000 hybrids, 25 species and 13 descriptive divisions with their respective characteristics. They also produced both sexually and asexually ( seed and bub division).

If wished to mix in a vase daffodils and other plants, you will have to soak and leave it in water for about 24 hours because daffodils sap is poisonous. this sap is also poisonous to both dogs and squirrels and as such, shouldn't eat it .

⭐ Reason why I choose it

• Daffodils are symbols of friendship it's unique and popular due to its beauty that does not matched with any.

• Daffodils isn't but a flower, for beautification and scent, but also medicinal. it's sap which is poisonous to pets in turn contains some crystals that can irritate the skin.

• Daffodils is a symbol of hope because it's a sign of spring and I love spring. Spring , a period of the year which seems magical because plants starts growing and fresh looking plant colours starts forcing there ways out of the ground making the landscape looks beautiful and astonishing (Revealing the nature's beauty 😊)

⭐ Basic features of Daffodils

• Daffodils has from 1-20 blooms on the top and are without leaves.

• Depending on the variety of the daffodils, it could have a height of 6-20 inches long.

• Daffodils flowers are trumpet shaped like.

• Daffodils has a large blossom that's yellow with a corolla that is deeply opened into 6 lobes and also a central belly-shaped corona or crown which is frilled at the edges.

Conclusion

Just like everyone out there who loves flowers, I refused to be left out,no not at ll.
