Expedition Costs - Weekly Contest, "Playing photographer #4 Mechanical Parts."

When something breaks down people call it trash but there is an exception and it applies to auto parts that had to be replaced.

Sometimes motorists can't bring themselves to throw a broken part in the trash and it takes its place among other similar no longer needed parts on the shelves of the garage in case suddenly it comes in handy for something but such cases happen extremely rarely.

I literally force myself to throw it away but the blood of my ancestors-car enthusiasts constantly fights this.

And even if the iron pieces are no longer in my garage they can still be seen in my photographs.

The transmission basket clutch disc and related breakdowns that you will see in these photographs are the result of one expedition not very successful in terms of the safety of the car the difficulties of which I learned when it was already too late to change.

I decided to find the road to one of the few beaches of the Dubossarskoye reservoir, located on its right bank and show the beautiful places to my family to have a good time by the water.

You can't always appreciate the angle of the road on the road and that was the case then the descent was long, the car was heavy and the engine was quite weak the French considered this normal.

The descent to the reservoir was successful but when we returned home the two-ton Renault with a 1.5-liter engine had difficulty climbing the mountain and as a result a burnt clutch disc and replacement of the basket and release bearing.

That day was the only day when my car couldn't take us to the threshold of our house we had to make a forced stop in the parking lot of a gas station and call a tow truck.

Our walk that day lasted until late at night because we had to wait for a mechanic who would open a garage for us so we could drive our car there for further repairs and it was a day off, Sunday.
