Hi friends, today I'm sharing with you some beautiful Strawberry Finches photos. I hope you like them.
The red avadavat, also known as the red munia, strawberry finch, or red avadavat (Amandava amandava), is a sparrow-sized bird in the family Estrildidae. Due to the colourful plumage of the males during the mating season, it is common as a cage bird and can be found in the open fields and meadows of tropical Asia. During the rainy season, it reproduces on the Indian subcontinent. Both the scientific term, amandava, and the common name, avadavat, are derived from Ahmedabad in the Indian state of Gujarat, where these birds were once imported for the pet trade.
Size :
Strawberry finches, which are about three to four inches long, are found in tiny flocks in tall grasses close to bodies of water.
Social Behavior :
In the wild, Strawberry Finches reside in sizable flocks and are social birds. They get along well with other finches and thrive in groups. Finches are not trained; instead, their antics and play are simply admired.
This is so lovely!😍
