Better Life - The Diary Game - 5 January 2022 - Kept myself busy amidst household chores 😄

This is my diarygame post for the 5th of January 2022.

So after scrolling through Instagram, YouTube and what not the previous night, I woke up really late this morning. It was about 10:30 AM. My mother was very upset. (Not really 😊😁).

I got up, brushed and after getting done with personal hygiene routine, sat for a cup of red tea. Then I went through some posts on Steemit and after that checked my WhatsApp notifications. I am trying to inculcate the reading habit which I seem to have lost over the past couple of years. So I am planning to read more which in turn could help me to express myself better on Steemit.

After having a bath, I sat down for lunch. My father got an invitation for luncheon from a friend of his in the village. Also my sister didn't want to miss the opportunity of a departmental picnic organised by her college. She had left for Meghalaya (a neighbouring state of Assam) early in the morning.

So today it was just me and my mom. For lunch, mom prepared egg plant fritters, mixed veggies, spinach-based salad and papadums alongside rice and dal. My mom also took curd afterwards but I skipped that part.

Now all this while, I was also tightly hooked to the Johannesburg Test match between India and South Africa. The fourth day was mouthwatering after a Rahane-Pujara fightback in the second innings helped India post a respectable total.

In the afternoon, I went to the backyard and collected some firewood which had already been chopped a few days ago.

I brought them and placed them near the storehouse. My mom was cooking some nutritious meal for the cattle. Since these are winter days, so it's better to feed them warm food for once a day.

Now since I was sitting idle and just watching the cricket match, my mother asked me to clean the sun-dried black pepper after which it will enter the kitchen shelves. We generally use authentic spices instead of depending on packet spices from the market which are adulterated to a huge extent.

I went out for a walk in the evening, and returned by 7PM, had tea with family as father and sister reached home. Just then I found a contest on Steemit and incidently it was the last day for submission. So I hurried to prepare an entry. Mom called for dinner at around 10 o'clock. After dinner I submitted the post and went to sleep.
