It Is Wash Day
Greetings community,
I miss 6 days already but that does not mean I slack off 😂. Our Internet connection had been upgraded hoping to get better speed. We didn't expect that it will take 5 to 6 days for it to be back. Now that this issue had been resolved I am back with this 100 Days Of Drawing. I chose to draw elf characters so be prepared to see a ton of them on a daily basis crossing my fingers 🤞
Day 3 I am still randomly thinking of ideas until my sister showed up and thus became my muse for this female elf carrying a laundry basket.
Here are some of the work in progress screen shots I want to share with you:
Early scribbles shows those alien like features the eyes and forehead which I don't think sits well with my wash day elf character.
I think the hair would solve that issue because I don't want to do major edits on the face. I'm glad the hair helped soften the look
I usually finish the all the color base before adding fine details but here you can tell that I finish the hair first. That's how I work at times, although I have a routine I will try to work in a different direction to keep me motivated and I love how the hair looks including the color. My sister wears her hair like this, braid or twist it loosely on one side which is just right for that unkept look I am going for.
Next I worked on the skin color and its shades and highlights. It is an experiment to use darker lines around the eyes and I think I love the effect. This defined the elvish look more.
Hope you enjoyed reading my post.
