Memories await around every corner to meet them and know them. And then childhood nudges me with its elbow, it smells like first love. Everyone passes before my eyes moments of happiness and sadness - feelings, thoughts, gestures, habits, meetings, pains, holidays, separation. The streets remember my footsteps. The birds sing with my voice in the morning. My words - patterns on a pitcher - they can only live here. How, tell me, can I leave him, across the wide world alone? He—like a kiss on the lips— it's merged with me. And I can't tear it away.
