Exploring Small Village at Entrance of Bosphorus

Today was one of the last days of the Eid week. The population in Istanbul had decreased and it was a good opportunity to visit Istanbul. Most people had gone to their hometown or on vacation. While there was no crowd in the city, I decided to visit places I rarely visit.

I went to Anadolu Feneri Village, located on the Anatolian Side, at the point where the Bosphorus meets the Black Sea, in the northernmost part of the city. This is the first place where ships entering the Bosphorus from the Black Sea greet.

Since it is a hilltop village by the Black Sea, it is normally a very windy place. But the view is legendary! The last time I came here was 6 years ago during the winter months with an ex :)

After 6 years, nothing has changed in the village, it is still untouched and undiscovered. This mosque, which has become the symbol of the village, was built 150 years ago during the Ottoman Empire. The view and mystical atmosphere of the mosque are wonderful!

I watched the 360-degree view of the bay below from the courtyard of the mosque.There was a house right next to the mosque and the infinity view in its garden was perfect.

While I was watching the view from the top, I saw people swimming in the sea below and I drove down to the seaside. The seaside was wonderful. It was not crowded and the sea was clean.

If I had swimming clothes with me, I would swim in the sea.

People were swimming from the rocks into the sea. I love swimming in the rocky sea. The bottom of the sea could be easily seen even in deep places. This must be the most beautiful swimming place in Istanbul!
