First in history as FIFA female referees set to officiate World Cup games in Qatar

It is now confirmed that Female referees will be part and among men referees that is to participate in the coming men's World Cup, Qatar 2022 as released by FIFA.

In the history of football, World Cup, this happens to be the first time female referees participate/officiates matches in World Cup event

This time, best of the the known FIFA female referees are to come in- Stephanie Frappart from France, Salina Mukansanga from Rwanda and Japan's Yoshimi Yamashita are now appointed for the events in Qatar.

As well, female assistant referees are expected to join them.

Also about 69 assistant female referees were taken, they are- Neuza Back from Brazil, Kathryn Nesbitt from United States and Mexico's Karen Díaz Medina.

Other referees chosen are England's Michael Oliver and Anthony Taylor, all expected to officiate at the World Cup coming up on 21st of November 2022.

The well touching character displayed by Taylor when he officiated the Euro 2020 game between Finland and Denmark, and was good in his quicky action by making sure Christian Eriksen was taken care-of when he collapsed in the pitch of play, from then, he was praised.

According football governing body FIFA, total of 36 referees and 69 assistant referees has been selected, in addition with 24 vidoe officials (VAR).

According to FIFA's Chairman referees committee Pierluigi Collina- "We selected the best amongst all as always be, and the system we used is 'quality first', the match referees are the highest level of refereeing worldwide."

"Though the female referees has been a long process that has been put in place over several years till now to join the men referees at the both FIFA junior and Senior football competition."

"Meaning that we looks more in quality and not gender differences."

"I believe that in future to come, the appointment of the female referees to officiate in men's tournament will be looked as normal and no longer a gender differences."

Meanwhile, Stephanie Frappart a French female referee has already taken in-charge of the men's World Cup qualifying and Champions League game, there after handled the 2019 Women's World Cup final. Also re-call that she officiated the men's French Cup final this year.

Furthermore, Two female referees among all were chosen through their country homes, Brazil, Argentina, England and France.

Many of the referees who weren't given a post to the specific teams among three are to face future physical, medical and technical screening this year, according to FIFA.
