Life in the Country #1 (power up 100%)steemCreated with Sketch.

I'm going to post a few photos in 3 different groups. This group will introduce the "Life in the Country" series. As I mentioned in my last post, Mrs. Cryptigital and I lived in the country outside a medium-small town. (We still live in the country, just inside the city limits of a really small town.)

If you take the time, even in an urban area you can find beautiful and interesting things to photograph. But it's nice to watch the sun go down. Sunsets can be pretty on their own, but they also provide the opportunity to compose photos against the backdrop of that low sun. I laid down on my stomach, in the yard, to take this one of a dandelion.

In the setting sun, even common objects can have beauty. A web on a fence wire is a good example of something mundane becoming art.

The sun isn't the only thing fun to see across the fields. Clouds and approaching weather are frequently the subjects of my photos. I may paint this one, someday on canvas.

I'll finish this group with a flower. In a fancy neighborhood, a thistle would be pulled up and thrown away. Out in the country we didn't worry about many of the plants that others might consider weeds. The thistle always reminds me of the "thistle" color in a box of Crayola crayons. I liked that color long before I saw a real thistle, and exclaimed, "They nailed it!" (Can you spot the tiny spider crouching within?)

In my next post I'll share a few photos of wildlife found in the yard... a rattlesnake, bunnies, and a nice big spider!

Thanks for looking!
