I am not complaining about the weather really because it is beneficial for me as I already stated from my last blog posts but the heat today is just quite unbearable and maybe unbearable enough for some people to indulge in cold and sweet desserts and drinks like iced tea, milk tea, and also soft-drinks (sodas) of many types and that can be detrimental to one's health and more likely to happen now because of the way the heat robs the body with energy. So if they can afford which many people can will try to drink sweet beverages other than water all because they taste better where nothing can't be more further than the truth although we can also fashion a cold drink with a better taste while also being a healthy drink to be had.
But people should be aware how foods and drink can affect their lives immediately or in the long run because of the nature of foods that are readily available for us to consume where even home-cooked meals can also negatively impact our bodies if we just continue to overeat all because it just "taste great" especially if we are consuming foods more frequently. The value of eating and consuming foods or the right types of foods must be first taught at home but teaching the value of eating should also be taught at schools at an early stages of schooling because I can attest to that as per my experience when I was going to school and I did learned from my early teachers and it stuck to me that junk foods, excessive foods, lots of fats and salt in our diet and later processed foods are bad to our body and at least limit its consumption so that our body can get protected from the long-term effects of consuming not only bad foods but also the amount that we load them to our bodies.
Now with this prevailing heat happening around many countries like in southeast Asia, we must drink beverages which are healthy i.e., clean cool water with some electrolytes added such as a pinch of salt so that we can stay cool aside from sheltering from direct sunlight and resting when the sun is really on its peak of heating so that we can avoid untoward health emergencies like heat exhaustion or other fatal heat-related medical conditions.
