I hope this week has been treating you well, so far!

Posting outside my normal Caturday routine this week because today is a special day for cats:

August 8th is International Cat Day!

International Cat Day was started by a charitable organization called International Cat Care a worldwide cat welfare group that has been advocating for cat wellness since 1958.

This year's "theme" for International Cat Day is "play with your cat," a reminder to cat lovers everywhere — and particularly those who keep indoor cats — that playtime is extremely important for cats, because it is part of their natural instinct to chase things.

So whether it's chasing the infamous "red dot," or a feather on a string or something else — my personal favorite is when the Dad-Hooman tosses wadded up paper down the stairs! — it's good for your cat's happiness to take even a few minutes to play, every day!

Making a change and posting to the World of Xpilar Community this time around, in the hope that some pet lovers in the community might see this... and decide to add their voices to the few already posting pet-related content on Steemit!

It would be really nice to see more pets here!
