The state is also a major producer of cotton, groundnuts, and salt. Gujarati is the official language of the state, and the majority of the population follows Hinduism.
Gujarat is also famous for its tourist attractions, including the Somnath Temple, Rani Ki Vav stepwell, Sabarmati Ashram, Gir Forest National Park, and the Kutch Desert Wildlife Sanctuary. The state is also well-known for its cuisine, which includes dishes such as dhokla, thepla, fafda, and undhiyu.
