Somehow, the text of your post reminds me of Stephen Hawking, my former favorite physicist.

Believe me, suffering creates the greatest philosophers, and you come out of it with a huge amount of experience and knowledge that makes you challenge the philosophers of the whole world. Whoever lived suffering in all its chapters is not like someone who got knowledge from the experiences of others. Life is a teacher, and we are students who learn from our experiences.
