I often come across these posts here in the community where the focus is on how Steem has helped someone have a better life.
Our big propane tank
I'm not exactly jumping on that bandwagon here, but credit where credit is due... so I did want to take a moment to share that next week we're finally getting our big propane tank out back of our house refilled — something that is way overdue! — and it is largely thanks to my liquid blogging rewards that we are able to do this now and pay cash for the tank refill rather than having to put it on a credit card and worry about how long it's going to take to pay it off!
Uncomfortably low!
No, we're not talking about one of those little tanks of natural gas you get from the hardware store and keep in a cabinet under your stove or next to your grill. We're talking about a large 250 gallon (or 1000 liters) tank that's sitting on the grass out behind the house. Those things are not cheap to fill!
The nice thing about getting it filled here in the spring, is that summer tends to be a slow time for propane suppliers so the price is a little bit lower than in the fall when everybody is filling their tanks ahead of using it to heat their house for winter.
The other nice thing is that because the only things we have hooked up to this tank is the kitchen stove and oven, and our clothes dryer, the fill-up is likely to last us about two years!
It will definitely be a relief to have a full tank again! So there you go: A better life via Steem!
That will be back later with a regular post about something (hopefully) more interesting , but I just decided I wanted to get this out here.
Thanks for reading and I hope your weekend is behaving well!

I've looked into crypto-based cards, but the US is "weird" about their regulations and restrictions. For the time being, I use Coinbase as my exit point because they'll pay out to PayPal and I can put sold cryptos directly on my PayPal balance. For now, that'll have to do.
It's nice to have the tank filled again. I don't like letting the fill level get too low... but the timing worked out pretty well, this time.
