Seems like time flies, whether you're having fun, or not!
I was doing a little business paperwork this afternoon and suddenly realized that this was the final day of July. Where did the time go?
Then I recognized that I was sounding a lot like my parents; they were always talking about the passing of time... and how they were running out of time.
Not that there was anything they could do about it, mind you...
Now I sit here and consider the fact that there are only five months remaining in 2023!
This is usually about the time of the year when I become more aware of which of my annual goals I am likely to not make. I start having thoughts like "well, if I work 50% harder for the rest of the year, I can still make it!" only to let go of such notions because I know perfectly well that I already was working extremely hard during the first seven months of the year.
All we can really hope to do is our best! And sometimes the goals we set for ourselves at the start of the year are actually more wishful than realistic.
So what am I looking forward to for the rest of the year?
Well, I do hope to find a bit more time to write, particularly when the days get shorter and there's less time for outdoor activities.
Aside from that, I'm excited to get started on a new part of one of my home businesses: Finding and selling smaller pieces of driftwood from the local beach. Have to do something to improve our income situation!

Thanks for the kind words @o1eh, I also don't know what happened to July. Normally it is a time I am very aware of because we do so much gardening... but this year it just vanished!

It seems like lately the time flies and once it is started the next moment it is already finishing. We were just chatting today and saying that it is already August that means it is more than a half of the year is gone. It is often that we realise that not everything that we planned we managed to accomplish.

More than half a year, already! It seems so strange... maybe it is just part of the aging process that time "moves faster." My parents were often talking about it what I was University age, and I didn't fully understand what they meant. Almost 40 years later, I "get" it!
I hope I "find" some time for many things... and particularly for doing a better job with my blog!
