Landscape photography – A little piece of Norway (#steemexclusive / 18 photos)

Last month I was on a car trip to Western Norway, to the Hardangerfjord. We stayed at a hotel in Odda, which is located at the end of the fjord. We therefore had the opportunity to drive up one side one day and the next along the other. This is a small selection of photos that I want to share to show you just a little piece of Norway.

The landscape consists of high mountains, fjords, glaciers and waterfalls. To take a break and either hike in the mountains, drive along the fjords or visit the glaciers, does provide an amazing amount of opportunities to enjoy a beautiful landscape.

Hardangerfjorden is 183 kilometers long and is the second largest in Norway and the fifth longest in the world. The roads are narrow, the village small, but there are thousands of fruittrees. Growing fruit is the main income for the people who live along the fjord. I was driving on both sides of the fjord in may this year, when all the fruit trees were blooming. That was an amazing sight.

The roads are winding and narrow, following the fjord, so it was important to keep the eyes on the road. Still, we drove slowly to be able to enjoy the scenery.

These photos are from the same fjord, but the opposite side in the late afternoon, when we were on heading back to our hotel i Odda. Those snow capped mountains did impress. I felt I had to stop so many times to take photos.
