Today I'm going to show you some pictures of the beetles I took. Anthonomus rubi, the strawberry blossom beetle, is a beetle that feeds on plants from the Rosaceae family and is an important pest of strawberries (Fragaria × ananassa Duchesne) and raspberries (Rubus idaeus L.). This insect is a very problematic strawberry pest.

in some cases the loss of up to 80% of the berry crop. Adults eat foliage strawberries, and females lay eggs in unopened flower buds (one egg per bud) before partially or completely severing the stalk, larvae develop in severed shoots, feeding on withered tissue.
