Farah Bagh.
We stopped here after a long walk through woods. We were planning to visit this place since so many months, and this place was on our bucket list of must see things.
So, we reached here. We saw a huge, large facade!
It seemed to be a witness to a vast era and a series of significant events.
Somewhat mysterious, picturesque, and everything around was mesmerizing.
There was a large man-made lake nearby, which used to be filled with water back in the day.
Imagine the elegance of those times!
As you can see, In according to style of architectural motifs, this might be Indo-Greek.
It is said that during the summer, the Nizam and his Begum would come here to rest, and the cool breeze from the water would keep the palace cool.
This is an architectural marvel, approximately 500 to 550 years old.
In front, there was a trench for a fountain you can see in ground.
It is said that water used to spray from there, brought without any motors using the siphon method.
What we now call 'eco-friendly' was a natural practice for those people.
Then there is huge space at the centre with all the windows around with central fountain system. It was mesmerising space to experience.
Huge space at your top!
Just the thought of how it would have looked back then sends shivers down my spine.
And the music of that time, the sound of anklets from dancing girls, the whispers of workers – all come alive in the mind.
Experiencing this entire place, I felt both joy and a bit of sadness when leaving.
The joy was in experiencing all this beauty, and the sadness was in not being able to fully experience that era and its ambiance.
It was experience of echoes of forgotten legacy...
