One step towards peace & prosperity

Today in the evening, we set out to stroll in the garden. It was our first outing after many days because it had been raining heavily for quite some time.

There are two gardens near our house. One is like a sports garden, with a spiral running track. We usually go there when we're in a sporty mood. The other garden is for when we just want to roam around and experience more greenery and a picturesque environment.

It's full of trees of various sizes and shapes, with lush greenery on the ground. There are two tracks: one paved and the other made of bare soil. The latter is generally for running and jogging.

In the center, there are banyan trees, some of which are very large. The central section is well laid out with a small podium at the center.

Sometimes I just sit under my favorite banyan tree, and after some time, I lie down on its roots, experiencing a very soothing, calming, and fulfilling sensation. It connects my inner nature with nature in general; that's what I feel when my body touches those roots.

We were just outside this garden today when we were stopped by two ladies. They had a board and were seated against the nearest wall of the garden. At first, I thought it must be something related to charity or a similar cause. But then my sight caught the board. It read "Anti-Hate Signature Campaign."
There were many signatures under that heading. It was basically a call to action, or a way to show support by signing the board. For many days now, I have been coming across hate or violence-propagating misinformation on social media, even sometimes from my friends. I report that violent or hateful content on those sites.

Here, I felt happy that people are taking the initiative against hateful agendas. I believe that such agendas are not going to help anyone in the long run. In one area or country, you might be in the majority, but you could be in the minority elsewhere. To assume anything else is foolish, I believe, on rational grounds.

Love and peace have always shown humanity the way to progress and prosperity, leading to a symbiotic ecosystem on Earth. That’s how we have thrived as humankind around the globe.

So here’s to love, peace, and happiness.
