BENEFITS OF GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES

Good day lovely steemians.... Happy weekend and happy new month to all.. I'm at it again this moment with lovely and some nutritious values of Green leafy vegetable.
Vegetables are part of plants that are consumed by humans and animals as food. Vegetables are called Efo in Yoruba
There are different kind of vegetables (Efo)depending on the locality. As for my side we have Efo Tete, Soko, Gure, Ugwu, Gbagba, Oduu, Iyana Ipaja, Amunututu, among others.. There are lot of reasons people needs to take more veggies..Some of its benefits include;
Eating vegetables help fend off inflammation due to its high rich in antioxidants and phytochemicals properties.
Vegetables help improve blood pressure.
It also help the risk of heart disease.
Eating veggies improve the immune health due to the present of Vitamin C.
Eating vegetables can help increase intake of fiber and potassium.
Eating vegetable provides health benefits, people who eat more of vegetables and fruits as part of an overall healthy diet are likely to have a reduced risk of chronic disease. Vegetables provide nutrients vital for health and maintenance for the body.
