Reflections on the abstractsteemCreated with Sketch.

Recently I became interested in the topic of abstract art. When an artist or sculptor encodes his states with color spots, a line or a shape, everything is clear to me. But other laws apply in photography, and we are always dealing with real objects that our consciousness and skill must deprive of attachment to their form and content. To distract the viewer's attention from these facts and switch it to a truly abstract moment that will broadcast only the author's discovery, to the idea laid down by him and encrypted, leading away from the contemplation of the object as such.

Today I want to give an example of my attempts and search for an opportunity to create an abstraction in photography.

A banal situation occurred: when I entered the entrance of my house, I saw a broken window there and I was attracted by the play of a glowing lamp on the shards. Having broken the glass, someone broke both the reflections and what shone through this glass.

I wasn't at all bothered by the fact of another vandalism, I just forgot where I was going and started playing with what happened there, thanks to what someone did. Then I took out my phone and began to look for interesting moments for myself in the broken reflection of the lamp, and only the sound of the descending elevator, which I did not call, reminded me that it was time to go home.

Of course, these photos do not pretend to any artistry, because I did not even think about the exposition, or anything technical at all. This is all just an illustration of my thoughts, and in order to think through all the thoughts in order to take normal photos, you need to go with another camera and devote a lot of time to this. If it's worth it, of course. Your feedback will be important here.

Now I'm just working on what I have, looking for the right composition. I need to figure out how to distract attention from the subject and turn it to my idea that everything in this world is interconnected and there is no bad without good. Which is even bad, someone can lead to discoveries and important conclusions. That is, to art.

And, probably, it makes sense to show you a photo taken without any thoughts. I won't be able to make anything out of it on the topic of abstraction, because objectivity dominates everything here. That was before I switched to black and white shooting mode.

A very unsightly picture that speaks only of the devastation in someone's heads.

Well, you're here, too. We have already tried to figure out this topic together here in the summer as part of my competition, which I postponed until better times. Perhaps this time has already come, since there is another person in our interested team :).

As for your experiences and reflections, you are reasoning so correctly that I can completely forgive you for the unimportant condition of the photos. Moreover, they quite contain something abstract :)

It was an interesting contest. I looked at everything there. And why did it close?

Абстракцию я пока до конца не прочувствовал.
Это надо либо специально съёмку организовывать с таким заданием самому себе, либо в голове держать на прогулках)

Нужен свежий красивый пост для получения приза за вечеринку ))
