Thanks for organising this. I've not drawn anything seriously for a long while, hence this challenge is really enjoyable.
A big thanks to @ranartblog and his blog post:

Especially loved the tip on how to quickly draw leaves. That part is usually my most hated part as I often stuck with the "how much details to include" dilemma.
The process
Started by scrolling through Pixabay for photos to draw. I had to scroll till page 4 to finally find a tree that is challenging, yet not overwhelming in details technicality.
I began sketching the outline of the trunk, trying my best to get the proportion of the dimensions right.
The most part of the trunk were done by random-more-or-less vertical strokes to emulate the actual patterns of the bark.
Then I sketched out the edges of bulk of the leaves out. This is in hope of testing out the quick-draw method for the leaves.
It's a little fine and light, but you should see it more clearly if you downloaded the actual image.
The artwork
Things to improve
- End of leaves
- Depth of field
- Smudging
- Ratio of the dimensions

This is really good.
I love the texture on the front tree, and how the far trees are with less texture (atmospheric perspective.
The leaves are great too and abstract.
I would take care to see there the edges of the leaves and tree trunk are not bold (there are no lines in nature).
Great job!

Thanks for the advice 😊
The leaves edges are definitely looking to improve on. And for the lines on the trunk will definitely pay more attention 👍👍

I looked at your profile. You can take pictures and draw. The mistake is that you make very short posts... one photo and often no text at all.
I won't reveal a big secret... curators choose more time-consuming posts to support. There is a guideline for 3 or more photos/images and 300 words. Of course, no one exactly does it, but it's worth focusing on. You're not exactly new to the platform :)
