I think this question is pretty important, thanks for asking 😊

Mexico is a big country and safety can vary depending on where you go. I’m currently in Zihua and I can honestly say I’ve felt very safe here. The locals are friendly and I haven’t had any dangerous situations.

Of course, as with any destination, it’s important to stay aware of your surroundings and take common precautions (for example, I’ve picked up is greeting people in Spanish, like saying "hola" or "buen día." It’s something locals do so it can show you visit there more often maybe instead of first time visit The other my clue is that sticking to well lit areas, avoiding wandering alone late at night), but I’ve had nothing but positive experiences here.

Just like anywhere, some areas are safer than others, so it's good to research the specific region you're visiting. Also in my opinion, touristic places tend to be safer compared to more remote or less-visited areas.

And I wanna share an information that Zihua has a stronger police presence, whenever I take a tour in the town, I see police cars so I think safety measures are prioritized to ensure tourism thrives.

In my experience, Zihua has been a lovely, peaceful spot😊

This is exactly what I read recently - you should not show that you have just arrived or that you are lost. Then you're doomed.😂
As I already wrote, I read about opposite cases - Latin Americans traveling around Europe, and I was really shocked by their experiences in the big European cities. But I finally read this: the difference between crime in Latin America and Europe is that in Latin America you have armed people attacking you, and in Europe you're dealing mainly with pickpockets and credit/debit card scammers.

Anyway, I'm glad you're feeling well and safe! The presence of police also definitely helps for that feeling.
Enjoy your vacation!🥰

Yes, you're right 😄 Maybe better way to have a more proper idea about security of the area to talk with locals like you. Thank you for your good wishes 🤗
