Dugouts in Ermakovo 2.0

I already know the Ermakov dugouts by heart. On July 18, 2023, I captured them for the first time. The sensations from the dugouts began much earlier, but it was in this place that the point of no return occurred for the first time, which led to such a large-scale photo project as the dugouts.

That's why I come to this place from time to time to film something or just stay here, connect to the original source.

What if I overwrite this point, or at least put another memory code on it so that it overlaps all the previous ones?

For such a strong impulse of impressions, I need a strong inspired emotional state.

Or maybe it's just enough to disconnect from everything and not be biased about the place.

I tried to switch off, not to remember anything, not to think about anything, not to imagine anything, and just absorbed the state that gives me a place.

At first it was very difficult: everything reminded me of that first time and all my thoughts were about that.

But a little later, I managed to disconnect from everything, to feel the atmosphere of the place here and now.

It's like I'm here for the first time.

The old memory code can no longer be erased, but a new one can be written on top of it.

And if you do this several times, it seems to me that over time all the sensations will mix up, and something from the past may even fade into oblivion.

It was a warm summer then, and it's winter now.

It was a completely different atmosphere back then, but now everything is very different from the first time.

The orange overcast sky was illuminated by the lanterns of the nearby highway.

Plus, I paid attention not only to the cellars as a fact, but also to the details and geometry.

When you disconnect from thoughts and immerse yourself in a place, you don't want to leave.

This is how places I visit for the first time always work.

I don't want to overwrite the memory code of many earthen locations at all.

But here I would work on correcting my memories.

I don't want to erase them from my memory, my goal is just to create a new code that will become brighter and will be the main one for this place.
