Summer in St.Petersburg 2024. Part 3

Now I have an idea that I need to write down my thoughts. I've done this before, but it doesn't always work out. I just remembered that I had an interesting thought in my head and I was sure that I would remember it...But I forgot it.

How can photography teach philosophy and life in general?

Shooting with different lenses, which means with different viewing angles, we can conclude that we see the same way.

If we see distant objects through a telephoto lens, then this means a very narrow viewing angle in the human concept.

If we select an object using an aperture in this segment of a narrow viewing angle, then it turns out that we can see far away and in this distant something private.

And if you pinch the diaphragm, then we will see the overall picture, that is, the spots, that is, the structure of the visible.

A wide angle will give us a large-scale picture of what is happening.

But even with the help of a wide angle, especially near objects, another world will open up to us.

A close-up can be shot both from afar and up close and it will be different worlds.

I keep talking about the different prisms of perception of reality that people have.

Someone sees very narrowly and privately, someone still sees narrowly, but the bigger picture.

If you compare it with a wide angle, there will be a lot of information and a lot of details, a large scale, but will something stand out among everything?

It seems to me that the ideal viewing angle for perceiving reality would be an analog 24-105 mm lens.

For myself, I would expand it to 20-300 mm and then I wouldn't have to change the lenses....but everything is marketing....or physics.

If they ever create 15-800 mm on a full mirrorless frame, the size of a regular standard zoom, then this will be a breakthrough.

I do this a lot. Micro SD was already invented when my parents dreamed of a storage medium in the form of a SIM card.

I once dreamed myself and even wrote in a blog in 2017 that our entire database would be in a smartphone.

Since AI is developing so much, then let my frequent dreams come true.

In my dreams, I dream that I take pictures with the help of...just a vision.

I saw the plot, mentally clicked in my head and ... the frame was recorded somewhere.

Maybe it will be a cloud, maybe a smartphone, but everything that I saw with my eyes was fixed on some kind of medium.

And it seems to me that this can be solved with the help of AI, combining the visual impulse with some kind of gadget.

...If something like this is no longer in development and is not being prepared for issuance to ordinary people.

Oh, he didn't say anything about Peter...So what can I say? Peter is unique and magnificent!
