Gerasimovo is located in a lowland, that is, in the floodplain of the Shardenga River. There is even a sign at the entrance to the village: a water protection zone. This, in turn, imposes its own limitations.
But this is of little concern to the inhabitants, since there are almost none of them here.
Judging by the appearance of the houses, no one lives here permanently, but temporarily only in a couple of houses.
The layout of the village is the same as in the previous places.
Just a few smaller houses.
Many houses are already on the verge of extinction.
There are also small five-walls.
Shardenga flows ten meters from the last house.
Somewhere here there is a car ford, but I did not find it, and even if I had found it, I would not have passed.
You can get to Gerasimovo from an asphalt road, driving about half a kilometer along a field road.
The houses are clearly visible from the road, it goes higher than the village.
The overgrown old path goes smoothly up into the dense forest, which does not inspire confidence, but I still risk driving further along it.
In general, the tract is quite passable even for a passenger car, which I once did in a small area. This, by the way, was the beginning for studying the old road in more detail.
Along the tract, alleys of birches and firs seem to be specially planted. It's a pleasure to drive and the views are beautiful all around.
I need to go to such places in dry summer weather, but I need even more thrills not only from beauty, but also from off-road. I have to compete for places! But in the summer it would not be as beautiful as it is now.
To be continued...
It seems like an enchanted town, even though it is not a town, you can see that it had good times with families, I loved the landscape, I imagine everything green in spring and the beautiful flowers, it must be a very relaxed place to camp.
Cheers
