It was a hot and sunny day, so my friends and I went for a walk and a swim to alimos wich is about 15 minutes from the center of Athens.
We had been in a tough lockdown for a long time, almost all winter, and this escape felt like paradise, and it was. We dressed nicely, but we also wore swimsuits and were prepared for anything. As it turned out, this decision was spot on.
In the Marina of Alimos me and my friend Jenny where many ships and boats are moored:
The sun was shining and it was a hot day, but when it was hidden behind the clouds, it was cold.
We sat on the beach, taking in the sea air, the sea breeze, and the sensation of touching the Earth and the sand. We relaxed, laughed, listened to music, and got in touch with nature.
I admit that there were enough people who bathed or walked in nature, children laughed freely, and there was a general sense of freedom in all aspects.
I had never swum in February before, despite growing up by the sea. I had no intention of going to the sea because I was sunbathing in my clothes. Of course, I undressed and was in the sea in less than a minute. I felt as if I was seeing her for the first time. My friend JENNY followed me instantly.
We remained at sea with my friend for about 15 minutes, despite the fact that the water was cold and I could feel it on my skin as if someone was burning me. It was incredibly refreshing, and I have no regrets about it.
Popi, our friend, did not come in, but instead danced on the beach and, of course, took pictures of us.
I was really well dressed when I went out. I was frozen and did not want to get sick.
Later, we took a stroll along the beach, taking in the scenery.
It was a day of rejuvenation and enjoyment of freedom.
Life is beautiful moments after all!!
THANK YOU TO STOP BY MY POST!!!
