Race Summary

It was another exciting race to enjoy at the weekend and for me, a 5:45am wake up call to watch the race.

In qualifying, Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso will be wondering what "might have been" as both were on good laps before Alonso put his car into the wall, causing a red flag and also scuppering Sainz's lap as he was nearing the finishing line. This particularly hurt Sainz as he only went on to qualify 9th which prompted him to start the race on a different strategy on the Hard tyres - his race was subsequently short lived as a lack of grip saw him quickly drop down the pack, spin off on lap 2 and out of the race.

Things were much improved for McLaren though with both Norris and Ricciardo reaching Q3 for the first time this season and going on to finish 5th and 6th respectively. Mercedes were also improved, finishing 3rd and 4th.

At the front, it was a familiar battle between Leclerc and Verstappen. Leclerc had the advantage from start to finish and for the 2nd time already this season, Verstappen had a technical issue and had to retire the car. Leclerc taking another win for Ferrari with Perez in 2nd.

Race 3 Points

For the 2nd race in a row, with Charles Leclerc as his Turbo Driver supported by Sergio Perez and backed up with the Red Bull team, it's @titopx who comes away as the top scorer with 221 points, narrowly beating @gabikay on 205.

The leaderboard has had another good shuffle this week with last week's leader @the-gorilla dropping to 3rd, replaced by our double winner @titopx at the top. @gabikay has risen in the ranks again to 2nd with @esteban85 moving up to 4th.
