At some moment either today or last night I was able to get to Level 68 REP, I know it is not much as you have to take into account that on the 5 or 6 of August I will have been a member of this platform for five years. Still I feel good about reaching a goal, even though it did take me a long time to get to 68.
In fact the votes I have earned from Steem curators are mostly responsible for my achieving this goal, so thanks. The trip has been pleasant, with its ups and downs, like for example seeing how Steem's price is doing right now, not too positive is it? But through five years this has always happened in fact prices were stagnant for two years before we had the bull run. Are the bulls over? Well I hope not, but if they are, well then we just wait for the next run.
I believe that many thought Steemit would not be existing today, after all it was the first of its kind and had to take all the hits new things have to deal with, the others that have appeared afterwards already had Steemit to look at to make their decisions. Despite that, I see Steemit in good shape, and helping out a lot of people who have made Steemit earnings a fine addition to their revenues and thus improve their lives.
Yes, selling Steem might not be the best thing, but, remember if you are selling and someone is buying it means two things, a) the seller is taking care of some personal need and b) the buyer is showing trust in Steem because he expects good things to happen here, so all in all I think it evens out.
And I will be frank, the current Steemit is an improvement on what we had before, the one thing that worries me is that I am seeing a return to bid bots, under different names under different facades but at heart the same thing, I would tell everyone just write and let your work, the quality of it, be what gets you votes.
In any case I am happy and proud of having reached a new level.
