On this occasion I will post a photo of a chicken’s comb flower.
Chicken’s comb flower is an ornamental plant that is often planted in gardens and yards. This plant is very unique, beautiful and has many forms. This flower has many names in their respective regions. For example in Java, in Sundanese this flower is known as jawer hayam, while in Sumatra it is called celala, banda ulu, and rope flower. In eastern Indonesia, precisely this flower is called wire, compote, shophouse, marerede, sule-sule, while the people of Nusa Tenggara call it janggar ready, ndae ana sina or bunak senior lari.
This flower is classified as an ornamental plant that is in great demand for planting in yards or other places as an ornamental plant because of its unique flower shape and has many colors so it is widely used as an ornamental plant.
The distinctive feature of this flower is the shape of the flower that resembles a chicken’s comb, folds and branches. Chicken Comb Flower or Celosia itself, there are 2 other types of plants and also the form of the flower, namely the comb (Celosia cristata) or the type of feather (Celosia feather). Celosia cristata or comb that we usually know as Chicken Comb Flower, or so-called celosia coral because of its shape that resembles a rock. Meanwhile, celosia plume or celosia plumosa is a type of celosia flower whose flowers are in the form of upright stems, at first glance the flowers are shaped like small pine but colorful. Some of the side effects of chicken's comb are as follows:
• Causes mild poisoning
Chicken comb used at 5000 mg / kg body weight can cause mild poisoning reactions such as diarrhea and abdominal pain [5].
• Causes fetal death
Withdrawal of water from a chicken's comb can cause fetal death and push the fetus out of the uterus, especially in the second trimester [2].
Pregnant women, especially those who have entered the second trimester, are not advised to consume chicken comb.
It is advisable not to consume too much.
