Alonissos an island of Greece

Alonissos is an island in northern Greece, part of a group of islands called Sporades

Alonissos is divided into two main parts
The first is the port and the second is the "country".

"country" in Greek islands is the most prominent part of the island...the main part...the "capital" as some like to call it.

In Alonissos the "country" is quite far from the port and high up in the hills.

where has some cofee shops where people ussually gather to have a coffee or a sweet desert and watch the sunset

Another peculiarity of Alonissos

is the stone beaches...this island lacks sandy beaches as it is mostly made up of rocks

In the harbour I found myself in this cafe bar which seemed quite special to me in terms of its decoration

That is such beautiful place. It offers everything for tourists like the ones with children can spend time of sandy beaches and the yachts, boats spend time on other, having their own peace. I love the hills they are green and offer an opportunity for hiking. The idea of resting in cafe and observe sunset is very tempting :)

Unfortunately, I have not been there yet, but seeing such image that is definitely wroth to visit. We were often on North sea side with their sand beaches, as a child it was an adventure to have such wonderful holiday. But of course from temperature point of view it is much cooler even in summer :)
