Rhodes Old town Marine Gate

This summer I had the opportunity to visit
the Greek island of Rhodes

The island of Rhodes despite its beautiful beaches
and sunny weather

also has a rich history, such as the old town
of which one of the entrances is this huge gate

which was built in 1478 by Grand Master Pierre d'Aubusson
to imitate the gate of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon in France
