Been spending a lot of time in my sketchbooks figuring out exactly how I would go about teaching what I know about drawing faces. This was as a result of do a demo recently on painting a portrait in gouache. There are so many ways to approach drawing the face- The Loomis method, Reilly Rhythms, Mass Drawing, all are so closely related that it is good to be acquainted with as much as you can and let it aid you in drawing. I have used a combination of what I've learned rather than separating the drawing methods.
This is a gorgeous portrait and an excellent drawing technique that I still have to grow and grow and grow in :)
