Some say the heart is strong and bold
Enduring all in life’s harsh hold
From what I’ve felt in joy’s sweet race
I stand with those who laud its grace
But if the heart should break in two
I think I’ve seen what grief can do
That shattered hearts, though fragile, fight
Can mend the wounds and find the light.
So whether hearts are whole or torn
In love’s embrace or sorrow’s scorn
It’s in the heart where hope survives
In peace or pain it still revives
For hearts are more than mere desire
They bear the weight of life’s entire
Through every beat in dark or day
A quiet strength or bright display.
