The fishes look like gold -- of course, that is oil to blame, this is only an appearance, an outlook --which is a deceiving thing. They are quite edible -- and very tasty. This fish sandwich is a great snack to accompany some vodka on the rocks... or without any rocks, as well.
Did somebody mentioned vodka? here we go: a shot of vodka to use in a vintage silver glass. There are no family jewels and relics in my family, but there is an old photo album with photographs of ancestors from the beginning of the century, -- and this vodka glass. The rest of the movable property did not survive all the upheavals that Russians had to experience in the 20th century... Pretty sadly.
Yes, you can drink vodka any way you like, even without any nice glass directly from a bottle--- but that would be 'the second grade', as they say. Ok, hope you enjoyed the photos I took especially for this round, and appreciated the classic recipe. Bon appetit!
