Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.72) Drawing of Mickey Mouse

Hello folks, hope your day is going well? So I decided to create this random work as my entry for an art competition organized by @xpilar
This work is a drawing of Mickey Mouse, growing up as a kid this use to be one of our favorite things to watch.

Mickey Mouse is an iconic cartoon character created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in 1928. It is Known for his cheerful character, large ears, and red shorts, he is the mascot of The Walt Disney Company.

Medium used are:

Charcoal on Paper

Shading technique

Hatching and
Blurring method

Progress shots

This stage i draw out an outline of my work, which will serve as a guide for shading.

I started shading using hatching method, on the face of my subject, I also play around values and tonal gradation. Working from light to dark and dark to light shades.
