Aquilegia vulgaris (PowerUp 100%)

in hive-185836 •  4 years ago

This flower, which is called aquilegia in Latin, has many folk names. Most often, the name is simply translated literally from Latin, but this plant is also called orlics, golubki, little boots, bells and even an elven slippers.

Aquilegia flowers are usually small, but their colors can be very diverse: blue, purple, yellow, crimson, white, pink, they can also be two-tone and combine different colors.

In the courtyard of our house, enthusiastic gardeners from among the residents plant many different flowers every year. But aquilegia was planted for the first time this year.

Aquilegia grows in the Northern Hemisphere. Wikipedia reports that there are from 75 to 100 species of this plant.

I took a lot of photos of these flowers, and I want to show you some, as I think, the most successful.

I hope I managed to show all the variety of these delicate and beautiful flowers.

Curious slippers, for some reason I didn't pay attention to them before ... :)

They are small, of course, but high enough: to see, you do not need to bend your head to the ground) But I don't remember noticing them before either.

So I, too, did not notice them before :)
