Lake Naroch is the largest lake in Belarus.
Lake Naroch was formed several millennia ago when a retreating glacier collided with the Sventsyansky moraine ridge.
Naroch is a low—flow lake: only one Narochanka river flows out of it, a dozen and a half small streams flow into it.
The lake is clean and transparent: in some places the bottom can be seen at a depth of up to 6 meters.
