Over the last few years I have conceptualised, digitally drawn and created over a hundred throw pillows! Its crazy really when I write that number down! You just sort of mill along and then one day you're like "omgoodness" haha! It is funny because although many others say that I have a very definitive style creatively... I dont actually see that myself. I suppose though, an artists personal perspective will always be different to what onlookers perceive.
Pillows has always been my favourite thing! I mean lets be honest... what's not to love, right?! Okay - I know the men don't agree... you guys loathe the things mostly haha! but us ladies like them. I was going through my collection earlier today just to update, edit and tweak. I do that every now and again because life changes, trends change, people change - bla bla!
So, as I said - I have over 100 designs for people to shop from, but I have my personal favourites and I thought I would share some of those with you. why not... right?! :)

A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in--what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars. ― Victor Hugo
One of my much older pieces - a rather bold abstract and definitely not for those who don't like pink, lol - but I love pink - so its all good :) Actually a nature inspired concept... though this may not be obvious to all eyes. I have always loved illustrating nature - or flowers in particular, in an abstract manner.

Amani - The Swahili word for peace features prominently in daily life in Kenya. Associated worldwide with calm and reason, amani is not just about the absence of chaos; it also refers to tranquillity, peace of mind and serenity.
Another one of my oldies and also one of the few more ethnic/African style pieces I have done. - I did a ten piece collection a few years ago called "Threads of Africa". It was my personal expression as a South African and the love and passion I feel for my colourful country. It was an interesting collection because the personal representation of "self" within each piece was represented by "art within art" - what I mean is, that some of the key aspects on each piece... such as the clothing or head wear etc. was actually made up of previous art pieces of mine.

Sunflowers end up facing the sun, but they go through a lot of dirt to find their way there. - JR Rim.
I absolutely love this one! Also from a 19 piece collection of mine which was called "Where the Wildflowers grow". I have always loved the above quote about sunflowers... and I mean, as a flower - who does not love these cheerful blooms! The name "Sulit"... well, is an Austronesian word which is spoken in Luzon as well as other neighbouring islands and it means "worth it".

“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities.” ― Dr. Seuss
This is actually the oldest piece among the ones I have shared. I wanted to do something fun and this was actually inspired by the view I get to enjoy every single morning on my walk out here in country bumpkin land - and based off a photo I took. I walk every morning because the process gives me focus and clarity for the day ahead. I am afforded inspiration and perspective by the natural beauty around me, but mostly because it fills me with love and gratitude for the fact that I have a whole new day ahead of me to embrace and love life! A momentary escape which shapes my life...
𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘'𝐒 𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐈𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐏𝐄
Tranquility, serenity, and beauty of nature taught me how to find happiness in life and in the silence of eternity. - Debasish Mridha
At one point in my creative journey, I had quite a bit of fun creating abstracts which actually incorporated written word. This was the first one of those which I did and the entire piece is created around the word "serenity". Yes, the word is actually written over the entirety of the piece. It may not be easily visible... but that was kind of the point :)
It is not often I revisit older work of mine, or get to share with others what it inspired it and how it came to be, so it was actually really fun to put this post together and I think I might do this from time to time. It's also a wonderful way of reminding myself how my art, my design and my creative journey as a whole is evolving! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
I have linked the various pieces to my shop, should any of the ones I have shared take your fancy.
❤❤❤
Until next time...
Much Love from Country Bumpkinland, South Africa xxx

... and you store them all in your cupboard at home? Do you change your decorations depending on the mood of the day? You also sell some, I suppose. ... That really are a lot ;-))

hello @jaynie
amazing creative work, you make so many pillows like this, with various picture models, I like the pillow model with a picture of sunflowers like this, maybe when I'm fast asleep, I will wait for the bright sun in the future while dreaming until it comes true. :)

I really appreciate your Artworks.
Actually I loved them because the best part is there colors for me an artwork should always be full of colours to give a refreshing look.
Everyone has his own like for colours combination but I think it's only the Mixture of all colours as we say Colorfull that is unanimously liked by everyone.
