Study drawing for two fish

Hi friends!

There is some information I forgot to mention in the previous post:
I drew on a Canson drawing paper, fine grain, 140 gr.
To draw I used a normal HB lead pencil.
Now, I will use a Conté charcoal pencil, hardness B to outline the fish sketches.

Drawing with a charcoal pencil allows me to get darker lines easily.
As you can see the difference is evident.

Having finished outlining the two fish, I'll add more details.

Using a fine mechanical pencil (0.5) I drew a smooth grid on the body of the fish to get a sketch of the scales.

Here the fish's scales on the left are already drawn and you can see the sketching process (with the mechanical pencil) for the fish's scales on the right side.

I used the charcoal pencil again to get some textures on the fish's bodies and fins.

By drawing lines in various directions and crossing them I obtain shadows and textures for the different parts of the fish.

This first study drawing for two fish is finished and I already know some changes I need to make.
I don't like the drawing of the dorsal fins for example, the position of the horn doesn't seem correct to me either, I need to improve its perspective. Perhaps the drawing of the scales should be more subtle.
This drawing was made without models as I already told you. For the next sketch, I will look at some images of fish to obtain a more accurate result but always in the field of fantasy.
