Color Inversion and Crop in Abstract Photography.
Abstract photography contest - stage #3

My participation
Greetings friends of WOX. I brought you 2 intervened images from a black and white photograph, (access the original image [1]), to which I applied color inversion and cropping to locate that "part" that I want to highlight and turn into "the abstract piece".
Quote
Abstraction Process
"Abstraction (Lat. abstractio = take out) is a process that involves reducing the fundamental information components of a phenomenon to preserve its most relevant features with the aim of forming categories or concepts."
Reflection
The result connected me with what I know about abstract art. That originally was inspired by the basic elements of artistic composition: basic colors, shape (geometric), light, scale, among others, to later evolve to the expression of the artist's own subjectivity who creates the work, which intervenes the material, the support and even the work itself. iI other words pure Phenomenology.
The subject has led me to investigate, I have found several articles. Among those that I highlight the following because it seemed to me that it synthesizes the origin and evolution of "Abstractionism" in art. I also leave you the link to the gallery I opened on DeviantArt for the photos taken for this contest.

First - thanks for sharing your thoughts and links!
I will have to look for them a litte later.
Now to the above cited phrase: don't believe it! Phenomenology is itself an abstraction! Whenever we look we are used to give the shapes a meaning. So, the abstraction process is a communicative game for two players: photographer and viewer.
