Greetings WOX friends, when we think of water drops and flowers, the first image that comes to mind may be that of a flower with its petals facing the sky, with water drops on them.

The 5 selected close-ups

But, have you ever seen drops suspended on the underside of a flower? Well, I witnessed that in a couple of flowers, which were turned over by the night rain and the drops were collected with the flowers upside down.

Google Lens helped me and recognized the flower as belonging to the species Cosmos sulphureus , which is an invasive weed that produces these beautiful flowers of an intense orange color, although there are also yellow and white ones.

The wind can move them, since they have an elongated stem and surely, with the weight of the rainwater they were turned over, but gravity, the texture of the petals and the cohesive force of the water did this beautiful job, beautiful images to contemplate.

I took several close-ups from above, trying to highlight the drops, without daring to move them so they wouldn't fall. I also took a couple of shots showing both flowers with their drops in the same shot.

I did the post-editing with Lightroom, slightly increasing the saturation of the green and orange, giving a bluish tone to the whites for contrast, and increasing the shadows for greater impact.

Hermosas tomas amigo. Las gotas de agua en la flor la hace lucir más bella. Felicitaciones.
