The boxing day have passed; we ventured into some massive vacays - usually they start from 30/31 December till 10/11 January, all over the country... but this time my boss said: let it go! - and kicked us from the office three days earlier.
( Do you see a swan's head or neck in this icycle?.. )
Time to take time, breath out, make preparations and decorate all the living space around (in case if you have forgot about that, haha!). It is also time to complete all unfinished deals that were put to hold; try not to have them going on and on in the starting year (this always sucks energy out from you, sort of...). At least thats the possible / visible goal...
Oh, and I was filled with a little pile of little but pleasurable gifts from my office collegues - chocolate bars, jars with delicious jam and honey, grinded coffee, best-wishing postcards. All this stuff. We had a pretty pleasurable meeting together and mixed it with a dinner (where I could take a lot of pics of nice-looking food, to use with the future weekly challenges... but I am not a big fan).
Still, I took one photo: tiny sandwich with red caviar. Simply could not resist the temptation to shoot it, haha!
For some of us exactly this dish, this appetizer means that life is rich and all is going smooth. This is one of the immanent Christmas traditions - setting the table with treats well and eating a lot of delicious meals in a very chic manner. The folks believe that you will spend the New Year the same way as you met its beginning. Hmm... well, let's face it: many people just like to eat well, haha.
I havent walked across the city yet, I make no plans as it always depends on the weather and also on a good company, so it is a bit of chance. But I already took some pics during a short walk across the Nevsky avenue - the central street of the city - and happened to stumble upon the same cityscape, as @bambuka presented earlier this week.
This part of the street is the festively decorated passage, makeshift outdoors Christmas fair with all sort of hooks/baits/divertisments: toys, gifts, foods, drinks... and warm dress :P
I thought that might be a dazzling idea to push both images into the same challenge pot. Lets see what happens.
It is the same image as on the cover, just an alternative (vertical) crop.
With this pic I participate in WoX photo contest, the week topic was: 'Christmas'.
