Flower name-Portulaca
It is a succulent and has very beautiful flowers and would recommend it to any flower plant lover.
It blooms primarily in the Summer season.
Growing conditions-
Pot- The pot should be preferably more wider than its depth which would help the roots to grow more laterally rather than vertically, enhancing the proper growth of the plant.
Soil-Should be well-draining to prevent rotting of roots. Soil should consist of a mixture of sand, garden soil, compost, etc.
Water-Minimal. In Summer, water 2-3 times per week whenever the top 1-2 inches layer of soil seem dry. In Winter, water 1-2 times or less per month as the plant goes dormant.
Sunlight- Keep the plant outside in full sun during both Summer and Winter seasons.
Rain-Continuous rain can cause root rot and damage the plant. Hence, soil mixture should allow no storage of water and drain the water almost immediately.
Fertilizer-A mixture of bone-meal, DAP, etc. before the Blooming season starts should be applied per month as per the size of the plant for production of continuous flowers.
