The orchid season is almost over in my garden.

This year the orchids in my garden have been blooming faster than previous year. It might be the sudden change of weather in November which fooled these orchids that winter has arrived very early. Then after two weeks, the hot and humid weather returned in vengeance causing a lot of confusion for both plants and insects.

After a week of rain in November, we have a second crop of orchids. It’s a shame that I hardly had the time to look after them. So they never have any organic fertiliser. But they seem to be doing alright by themselves.

I often pray in my garden while watering plants and ask the fairies to help looking after the plants and cats for me. Mother Nature has been kind to us and protecting us from harsh weather and sudden windy storms. The tall trees help shielding the house and smaller plants.

So, we are very grateful to have more orchids before the end of the year. We will have to wait another six months at least for a new season of blooming orchids. It’s nice to have something special to look forwards to next year.
