In a boatyard
When I see an open door, I always get curious this time in boatyard. I asked for entrance and pictures, welcome in and see what wee are doing. There was an ongoing restoration work on an old fishing boat. Al bad wood was taken down. The boat builders were in the process of rebuilding the boat. I have experiences with this kind of work so I know this is challenging, time consuming and expensive. In Norway, the state pay a big part of the costs of the restoring work. To take care of historic boats and preserve them for posterity.

One of the boat builders is working aft in the vessel. If you want to do work like this you have to have patience and like to shape wood. Everything is curved.

To see the boat under construction reminds me of the Viking series when floki makes a boat to Ragnar Lothbrok, I am seeing that the work in the creation takes a long time and I imagine that the measurements have to be perfect so that the boat can float .

Go dear friend @karja this is a great find, the restoration of a ship is already something beautiful to see, but when it comes to a ship from a Viking era I think it is something extraordinary to see. congratulations for the excellent photographs

Amazing work on the restoring process of the old fishing boat! It seems that they have to do a lot of work and they have patience in shaping the wood, as you said, indeed. You had a good experience in watching this process with your own eyes. Thanks so much for sharing. ;)
