World of XPILAR - LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #082

This week I want to show you some photos from my road trip last October to Alberta, Canada. The first photo in the post will be my entry to the World of XPILAR - LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY contest by @axeman and @xpilar.

(Fuji X-T4, 30.8 mm, f/5.6, 1/950, ISO 320)

It was autumn in the Canadian Rocky Mountains and we stopped at a small lake so I could photograph the colours and reflections. The overall colour of autumn foliage in Alberta is yellow with very few orange or red leaves that we would see in eastern Canada.

For general interest, I'll show you a couple of other photos from that road trip...

Above: we were forced to stop on the small mountain road because a herd of mountain goats had taken over the road. You can see this didn't stop the cyclist.

There are a lot of large animals in the mountains such as bears, deer, moose, elk and others. You wouldn't want to have a collision with a 1,500 lb moose so check out what they do in Alberta... on the main highway, there are many bridges that are built just for the animals. See how the bridge is covered by a narrow strip of forest?

All photos were taken by me using a Fuji X-T4 camera and 16-80 mm lens. I hope you like the photos and thanks very much for visiting!

Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked them!

Very beautiful autumn. I love your concern for the animals. A bridge with a forest on it ... did not know about such bridges before. This is genius.

Thank you! Yes, those bridges are amazing. The first time I saw them I was amazed!
